First Gobble
Heard my first gobble of 2008 today........off in the distance over a ridge. Been messin with all my calls on the deck each evening. The fever is starting pretty bad!

About 2 days ago I saw a hen with a red back. It wasn't domestic and with about 40-50 others.I thought it was pretty cool along with the black gopher I saw last night. maybe they are omens?? I know this year I'm taking the bow for them gave up on the shotty after 3" with #4 diddn't do the job at 15 yards , rolled him a good one but no kill, go figure.
