Something Funny!
I went to a Maple Harvest Festival today and while I was there I saw a program on Raptors (predator birds). One of the guys that worked for the preserve tried to tell us all that crows are a protected migratory bird... This fellow didn't know what to say when I told him I was hunting them yestarday. He,He,He!!! He did change the subject rather quick when I played that card.
I have never heard this before, maybe it's a secret. Anybody ever hear this???

The crow is in fact protected all birds accept starlings and Sparrows are. This does not mean you cannot hunt them but it means there are laws regarding hunting them. at least thats what the game warden told me. also you may not have one as a pet! this is do to some agreement we have with mexico from a million years ago that i dont really understand about them protecting the Bald eagle. I had a really nice Game warden tell me about it when i asked.

Groundhogs are protected too, at least in my neighborhood. I protect them from other hunters (who use lead) by injecting them with a high quality copper treatment. It's just so much more humane!!! Thanx to Barnes TSX for manufacturing the injections. In clinical trials they have shown great results. For example, last week I just injected the first one for the year, and the results were astounding.
