Well, I gave them a call, and they told me that fitting and finishing (that is.. screwing it on to the reciever, and cutting the last .050" to headspace it) a short chambered barrel would take a couple weeks.

Oh well.

Anthony Arms in West Mifflin has had some great turnaround for me in the past, for future reference.

Just a quick vote for Stewart's Custom Gunsmithing off Rte 8 in Valencia. Careful work, great prices, plennya good ol' boys hangin around the shop.... Only open Tues & Thurs 6-10PM, and Sat 9-noon, though.

Default Re: Gunsmiths near pittsburgh?

every time i go near anthony arms and talk to their "gunsmith" about any projects he is full of misinformation, bullshit and halftruths. he has tried to insist that several of my projects were illegal [not so] and has no idea of either the laws of the industry he works in, nor any knowledge of work beyond turning screws.
