The gunsmith I trust with all my work is Randy hollowbush at The Hangunner in Topton

You might want to check with Precision Armaments located outside of Slatington on Rt. 873, Charlie does awesome rifle work and I am sure he could help you out, his number is in the book.

You can do porting, but a good crown and thread job is actually easier....then just torque on the brake of your choice (which are more effective than ports).

Porting into riflings is not a home job. Threading isn't so bad and then you have all sorts of options for brakes....depending on the caliber. Many gunsmiths will thread your barrel for a nominal fee.

Porting and crown goes about $150....often less. Threading and crown is cheaper, but then you need to factor in the price of the comp.
