Question No.4 Enfield 7.62x51 conversion?

So, I noticed that Numrich is selling Ishapore 2A take off barrels in 7.62x51. I already own one of these rifles, and it is a favorite. I also have a No.4 Mk2 Enfield. This is a fantastic rifle, and the .303 round is no slouch either. However, I've never been thrilled with the .303 rimmed case. Plus, surplus 7.62x51 ball is cheaper and easier to find. Now, I'm aware that the MK III and No.4 are different animals, but there are a small amount of specs that are shared. My idea:

I want to replace the original barrel on my No.4, with one of the 2A take off barrels. As well, I want to replace the extractor, magazine, and magazine catch, with those from a 2A. I know that .303 MK III and No.4 extractors will swap out. I'm figuring on a bit of modification to change over the magazine and mag catch. Does anyone know if the MK III and No.4 share the same barrel threads?

Any thoughts? Advice? Constructive Criticism?

Wow! That's a bit more elaborate, than what I had in mind-but now I've got a few more ideas to play with.

What I'm planning, is a No.4, with the fully adjustable rear sight-but with the lighter 2A barrel in 7.62x51, and the matching magazine, mag catch and extractor. I'm also playing with the idea of using a 2A/MK III forestock and nosecap. Sort of a hybrid of both basic types.

Do you have a specific shop and/or retailer you get replacement parts from? I just acquired a MkIII and am in need of an extractor spring, front sight, magazine, the list goes on....(My new side project). Any help would be appreciated as I am new to Enfields.

BTW-this rear sight is the best upgrade, I ever made on my Indian 2A rifle. Anyone with a MK III or 2A should give this a look.
