Default Savage Mark II barrel removal

I have a Savage Mark II 22lr that I need to remove the barrel from so I can send it away for some threading. I've never removed one of these pinned barrels. Is it simply pressed into the receiver and then pinned or is it threaded into the receiver and then pinned ?

Default Re: Savage Mark II barrel removal

Found my own answer. Apparently it's pinned and press fit and is a SOB to remove and re-install. I'll just strip it down and have it threaded with the receiver attached
