Default Opinions on Acraglas?

I am going to do some repair work (stocks) and would like your opinion on this stuff.

It dries very hard with little, if any shrinkage. I use it to pillar bed my rifles.

I recommend the Gel over regualr acraglass since it is easier to manage and won't run.

A lot has to do with what you are going to use it for and where. Acraglas is runnier and has a longer set up time but you need to make sure it doesn't get anywhere you don't want it. Acraglas Gel has a bit shorter setup time and pretty much will stay where you put it. Each has its own applications.

If you want a more indepth explanation by the experts just call Brownells tech service line. They are more that happy to help anyone out and will definitely answer you question completely. Here's the number: 1-800-741-0015 or go on to www.brownells.com

I've used Acraglas gel for many, many things- grom bedding actions to repairs to actually gluing stocks together that broke at the wrist! It has never failed me. Furniture, dashboards, you name it...great stuff.
Xringshooter is correct though- be careful it doesn't go where yo don't want it. Use the dye sparingly ( a little goes a long way) to match the color needed.
Good luck!
