hey rog i have been wanting to attend school out there for a few months now. but have been delayed due to the condition my back is in. i see you are 20 as am i. they asked me to come out so i can fill out all my financial aid and whatnot so i am hoping to begin by may (pending what the nuro dr. has to say and the end of the month) so maybee we will end up in the same class together.

with that being said, you wouldn't happen to need a roommate would you?

Definitely let us know how the training is going. I have been considering going there now for some time. However I need to actually move back to pittsburgh. I am curious however to know a bit more about the programs and the training. I requested one of their packets with the application and aid forms. But Im not exactly in the position to make my move yet. Unfortunately my bill for my BS in Political Science and a few other things are slowing me down.

Also you may want to consider finding a gunsmith and asking if you can work as an apprentice on the weekends or something of that nature. Would help in your studies and would further your knowledge with out being in a classroom.

Well, I'm currently living with Dobie from here, but it's not going to be for too long. It'll depend on the situation down the line when I get a chance to move out of here.

Oddly enough, I hadn't thought of that at all. I work at Eat N' Park on Banksville Road and they offer like, extra crap for students in college. I'll look into the stuff I have to choose from right now, but I'll also look into getting an apprenticeship as well. The only problem is that where I work right now is seriously 1/4 mile from me, the school is 8 miles off, and my car is at the point where it's nearly dead. I'm kind of in that situation where I could end up getting screwed over pretty hard in a matter of minutes.

Hopefully my idea may end up having a snowball effect, because I've been talking with a friend who does AMAZING woodwork. I'd love to do some awesome custom stocks while in school.

I have two rifles, a Browning BLR 22-250 and a Browning A-Bolt Micro in .243 that need to be redone. They were in my Mom's house fire. The guns are in good working order, just the blueing is all blotchy. I also have a Browning Buckmark in the same condition.

25 grand is a big number...

see if they take the reserve GI bill. you could put the reserves to dual use here. get into one of the reserve services as an armorer. use that school to get the skills you want free, then look at the PA gunsmithing school as advanced training. the Service school will get you tons of hands on stuff and make it so you can easily take top of the class at the school you would be paying for.

then have uncle sam sport a good portion of the bill...
