You can buy prebent 80% receivers without the drilled holes. If you have a good drill press you're good to go, if not make a friend.

I've heard legends of groups of guys throwing AK parties. They all gather and bend flats and weld rails in a manly fashion, sharing tools and tips. Then again, I've heard that Century provides excellent service and doesn't deface their C&R guns with an unneccessary amount of company stamps. Do AK parties exist in the Commonwealth?

I have heard that too. Some of my friends wanted to get in on the last one but the guy who was supposed to host it dropped off the forums.

building a AK isnt that hard you can make a bending jig and use bolts to pull it though you dont need a press.
remove the barrel with a brass punch then use threaded rod to press it back.
Rivet it with a sledge hammer as a anvil and some punches.
And you can use a mig welder for the lower rails.

Want to get a build party going? I have a few receivers, already bent, I want to build up probably 1 for starters with a screw set and if i like it redo it with rivets.
