Default XD help!!!!

I finally called the other day to order the grip safety spring that broke some 3 months ago. Came in today.

Well I can't figure out how to put it in. I'm pretty sure the longer part goes on the rear of the safety, but i can't figure out where to put the shorter part such that I can get some tension in the spring.

Default Re: XD help!!!!

when i parkerized all the metal on my XD i had my XD down to bare frame. the easiest way i found to put the grip safety back in was to take out the sear/ disconnecter group and feed it down in from the top, the short part of the spring sits on the actual grip safety, and the long side sits against the frame.

I wish i would have taken pictures of mine when i had it all apart and was putting it back together.
