Some oldies that I hung on to. I always loved the older "gadgety" guns.
The SKS is Norinco purchased many years ago when they first started to come into the country. Nothing fancy but very fun to shoot.
The C96 Mauser is a 1930's model made around 1935 and exported to China. I found it at a store in Pgh that usually had poor quality samples, but this one had just come in and I pounced on it. It was in very good condition and the romantic in me likes to imagine that it saw a lot of action and made it to all sorts of exotic places in Asia.

I used to be able to find true .30 Mauser ammo at gun shows but that supply has dried up. I had a 7.62x25mm (Tokarov) barrel made for an old 1911 so I could test various bargain ammo to see if it was safe to shoot or not, and if it is too powerful I pull the bullets and reload to a safe pressure.
It is a joy to shoot and always draws a crowd.
