you need to do something about that metal hand guard on the carbine though, atleast to fit in with ww2 theme.

Hey!
that's my Christmas wish list in the form of a photo!

Very nice. VERY nice.
You may soon be able to start your own WWII small arms museum!

I don't know what else to say... usually I have some kind of wise-crack, but for this, I can just say that I'm happy for you. I have a great deal of respect for those who serve(d) this country and WWII arms are especially interesting to me.

The 1919 is a home build semi...ex-Israeli kit, .308 only. Currently in the A6 configuration as pictured but I do have an MG-42 tripod.

I threw the Carbine in there for the heck of it, it isn't military, it is a post war Plainfield...but a smooth and nice shooter.

The No.4 (front) would have it's metal been painted gloss black if it was wartime. The K98 appears to be missing the half-rod under the barrel.

Is your M1903A3 bolt blued or parkerized?

Well done, a wet dream from my High School days (daze).

PA Rifleman, the #4 was an utter disaster when I got it, I just reparkerized it, why the Brits would paint over park is beyond me, I am rather fond of parkerizing myself.

Good eye on the other stuff, the K-98 is a Russian capture, was missing the half rod, still looking for one. I found the locking screws and front sight hood, but the rod is still on my "to find" list. I was able to buff out the electro-pencil disaster markings on most of the parts and hide with touch up blue.

All the metal hardware including the bolt on my 03A3 is Blued with the exception of the Barrel and Reciever which has a nice green patina of park. Is this an exception? I have no idea...here is a close up for you.

O3-A3s parked only the barrel and receiver from the arsenal. All small parts were blued. Your finish appears to be correct. If your stock is right it will have inspector marks on the left side. FJA(Frank J. Atwood) also an ordnance wheel and likely an RA stamped there too. During arsenal repair or rebuilds all small parts would have been parked too. So your rifle appears to be a nice original example.

Gunhealer is right. The Brits applied a finish called Stoving(I think that was the term)and it was a baked on paint.
