bought a sar1 off neighbor
hi guys. just wanted to share this with you guys and girls. its a sar1 year 99 all matching numbers minor surface rust that seemed to come off with a lite rub of clp. may have a problem with the trigger but that will be changed to a tapco trigger group anyway. paid 450 for her with the 5 and 30 round mags, 110 rounds of winchester ammo, ant the case. how did i do? :supergrin:

Good find, the SAR1 is a decent rifle compared to some of the junk that is floating around out there. Let us know how it shoots.

The SAR uses an eastern european receiver that closely matches the true AKM design with the mag well dimple, one of the last to do so.
You got a good deal, take a look on gun broker if you want to see the current market value. They're already collector items since they aren't imported anymore. More here: http://www.gunsnet.net/Linx310/faq.htm Check for front sight base (FSB) cant and cylinder cant. Both are end-user correctable.
