Default More shooting vids with my son. (including the Garand)

Took a few more rifles out with my son. Interestingly, we found the first rifle he doesn't want to shoot. The Arisaka (and I agree) kicks more than my Mosins, Garand, and any Mauser. It's accurate but that 7.7mm round packs a punch.

Maybe individually, but certainly not collectively.

Great videos! I've never shot an Arisaka, but now I want to. What gunclub are you shooting at?

In all fairness, French tanks were paper thin compared to the German equipment. That, and when you build up the Maginot line and the Germans come through the Ardens, you are pretty much screwed.

I joined the West Shore Sportsmen's Club in Lewisbury this year and it has been great. I usually take one of my kids each Sunday. They alternate so I can keep an eye on them and still enjoy shooting as well. I really like that French MAS-36 and that Arisaka packs quite the punch. I thought that there may not be much recoil since it's a larger rifle but it kicks more than the Garand. I'm guessing that it may be due to the Garand weighing a few more lbs so you don't feel as much.

Very cool. He handles well, good job.
I bet the SKS is his favorite. He looks more comfortable with it.
How old is he?

He is 9 and you are right, he liked the SKS a lot. His other favorites are the RPK, AR, and M1 Carbine. Using the RPK and iron sights, he does really well taking out his zombie targets at 100yds. I honestly figured on selling that gun and he claimed it as his favorite. Likewise, I planned on selling my SAR2 and his 12yr old sister claimed it as her favorite.

Looks like your not selling either...anytime soon.
I don't have any kids, but I take my 12 yr old cousin shooting.
His favorites are my AK, SIG 556 and his fathers M1 Carbine.
It's cool when they show interest, and you enjoy teaching them.
My dad did it with me, and I will do the same with my kids some day.
Good job, keep it up.
