What`s nice is their corporate headquarters is in Harrisburg, Pa and their CEO is very accessible and interested in feedback.
Nice win.

He actually posts on this forum from time to time. Seems like a real nice guy. I am just stunned at the look of that gun CD looks to have stepped up their game.

Nice!
My thought on CD1911 is that its great starter 1911, that is affordable, and nice little firearm. And comes with most that you want(FLGR, Beavertail,Ambi safety, lowered/flared ejection port, and Dovetailed F/R sight) HOWEVER, now that Taurus PT1911 has all that, AND front strap checkers, choice of SS, forged frame(CD 1911 is cast framed), and usualy only about $75 more, I must see no point of buying them over PT1911. But if you got it free, then you can't lose! BTW, Charles Daly now opened their own forum, operated by Charles Daly to ask any questions, which answered by their rep.. http://www.charlesdalyforum.com/
