I buy ammo from them. They;re taking the guns because most would buy form gun shops, and they gun sales take too long.

Wal*Mart is not eliminating sales across the board. They are eliminating sales in stores that do not produce positive results. This has been discussed here before:

Bought a box of Ammo from my favorite gun shop. Cost me $21. Went over to do some shopping at Wal-Mart and decided to see if they carried it. Same box of Ammo was $14. I think that is a savings of a bit more than 75 cents. I buy guns at Gun Shops. I buy Ammo at Wal-Mart. That way I can shoot my favorite gun a lot more.

i definitly agree with buying ammo at walmart......when i first bought my gun i bout a box of 50 9mm american eagles for bout 18 bucks....then went to wal mart and found the winchester 100 pack for 12 dollars....i felt very ripped off by the gun shop and never bought ammo there since

OTOH, it is easy to feel taken advantage of by the little guy. However, quite often the small retailer is competitive on premium items, including ammo. Give the guy a chance to do some business. Keeping him in business is to our advantage, too. Most of the big boxes don't have the really cool stuff.
