Default Proud to be a gun owner!!!

I have pro gun stickers on my truck, a pro gun t-shirt (more soon), and my friends know I own a gun.

There are people on this forum who think displaying that you are a gun owner is a VERY bad idea…. But oddly enough NOBODY denies the FACT that cities and states that allow carrying have lower crime rates.

I would have never known in PA you could CC or open carry without being told by gun owners. Had I seen people with pro gun t-shirts I may have asked them but I didn’t see any. I didn’t know one could legally own a full auto or a silencer without the internet. I didn’t know that in DC you couldn’t have a loaded gun in your house. The point is you are a gun owner and if others know they may join you in that. I have enlightened many people and sparked some interest. It’s the same principle that churches use to convert others, hand out tracts, tell people, T-shirts for encouraging questioning etc. The more people that exercise their rights the longer we will have them.

The second amendment guarantees the first, the first promotes the second. If you exercise one but not the other you may lose both.

I have my NRA sticker on my rear liftgate. (GMC Yukon) Right next to my PSU logo decal lol. I've seen a fair number of NRA stickers and such on the vehicles of students in the parking lot.

Oh and i'm proud to be a responsible armed citizen of this great nation, i am proud but i try not to draw too much attention to it.

I was talking to some subcontractors at work and found out 2 more people who own guns and go shooting regularly. Gun owners are all around us, but the sad thing is you don't always know it. Join the NRA, put a sticker on your truck and stand up for your rights!!!

I'm always surprised when I find out people I work with are owners, I know I shouldn't be, but that's another issue. They always look at me like "you just finally bought a gun?" I think the "advertisement" issue really stems from the CC aspect of gun ownership. There's an old saying about "a fist is a treasure in the pocket," and I think it's this rationale that says no to the advertisement. On that issue, I can agree completely; however, I do think it's good to support all our rights (sometimes in the form of an NRA sticker) and you may find yourself in a situation to educate another (if you so choose).
