The point is this: People make associations based on their own paradigm. That is, their own frame of reference and it has NOTHING to do with what is the truth.....even when they know the truth to a certain degree.

So.....all I'm doing is questioning whether a STICKER means to a criminal that a gun is IN the car.

As for the decals...

I have the pro-gun decals on my trucks and the wife's SUV.

I think some of it would be where you live.

Here in the styx I have no problems flying my pro-gun colors...you see it every day. I guess if I lived in the concrete hell-zones of the big cities, I might see things a little different. I been to the city, and I don't like it. I might worry about being robbed... not so much here.

It's hard to find a truck without a buckmark logo, Ruger eagle, Glock, Colt, Remington or NRA decal on the rear window here. It's also hard to find a acre of ground that dosent switch off as a back yard/picnic ground/target range.

Sure, you could target the guy with the NRA logo on his rear window...but few have the guts to sneak through the window at night. Here, EVERYONE is armed.

As I've posted before......I see the value of pro gun stickers as a way of helping the general public get normalized. Whether or not they increase break-in's is completely neutral to me. I have no idea.....and you have no evidence.

So.......that would actually be a pretty cool study and I'd be happy to know either way. I also happen to have a Buick so that would help eliminate variables. Now....how do we get them in the same area? You can't use a truck because people may view it as "country" and feel it would be more apt to have a firearm independent of the sticker (can't prove it, but good research needs to eliminate error).
