I'm not talking about a criminal targeting me, i'm talking about a criminal targeting my property. If you have gun stickers on your car, prepare for your car to get broken into by someone looking for guns while you sleep soundly in your bed totally unaware.
Let me refer back to my post.

Truthfully, working with the delinquent population, I think there are both kinds of predators. You pick your poison, I suppose.
And when they target your property, you will feel like they are targeting you.

I work with these thugs. IMHO, they'll break into your car for loose change for drug money faster than looking at a sticker and assuming you have a gun on the dashboard.....assuming they can read the sticker....

But in the end....it's just a sticker/plate and there is a time and place for everything. I usually don't wear my practical shooting shirts to church.

That's not the point, having a gun won't stop your car from getting broken into. Having pro gun stickers on your car is like having your blinds drawn during the day so all the criminals can stare at all the nice things you keep in your house while you're out at work. It invites burglary.

Today, after a brief time at the range I tossed everything in my front seat including my AR in a soft case. Drove to a store to see if they had the bullets I wanted. I went into the store everything on the front seat. The car was not locked. When I returned everything was just as I left it. I then drove to another store, a gun store. I went in the store. Again I left my car unlocked. I was in the store nearly an hour. mosty bsing with the prop. and customers. When I returned to my car everything was just fine. I then drove home and unloaded my car. My car as more than one pro gun stickers. I do this quite often and so does others around here.
we don't have a problem with stuff missing from our cars. I wouldn't leave it in there overnight but during daylight it quite safe.

No, I don't live in philly or anywhere near it.

You guys are absolutley right. Houses and cars never get robbed. I don't even know why they put locks on the damn things.

I wish I was in such a trusting, care free mindset.

gotcha, free AR giveaway in the parking lot of XYZ gunshop in elkland.

You living in the sticks is irrelevant to this conversation. Crime pops up where you least expect it. Your lack of responsibility does not impress me.

Yes.

I'm just aware that "common sense" tends to be flawed....a lot. Kind of like the abstinence programs they teach in high schools....you'd think it would be "coomon sense" that education would stop casual and risky sexual behavior...but it actually tends to increase it in that setting. Same thing happened to the D.A.R.E programs regarding drugs. Actually raised experimentation in many areas.

I'm not leaving my guns in the car, because I that that if the gun isn't on me....it's not really secured.......but I'd like to see something that validates an NRA sticker equates to "gun in car".

Ask people off the street if they felt that sticker meant a gun was inside and I wager most wouldn't think so.....or wouldn't have given it a second glance.

It's my job to figure out how people think. Particularly the delinquent population. I question everything.

You guys are online...play a little game with me. This might be hard to do.....please DON'T SCROLL AHEAD... and you MUST SAY IT ALOUD when I ask it of you.

I promise this will make sense. (and drink this grape Kool-aid......just kidding).

O.K....I usually do this in a group setting and written is not as powerful so bear with me and DON'T READ AHEAD. Scroll slowly.........

Lycanthrope,

I don't recommend attempting to figure out THIS group unless there's some research grant money and no time limit involved!
