Extortion...maybe not by legal definition, but certainly in spirit. Don't sit back and take it when the you get raped by the government. By blowing off your first two attempts at payment, the City of Allentown increased their revenue gained through you by 500%.

Your initial citation should have the date and time on it. Did you take pictures of the signs that were posted with the street cleaning times? If there was no time on your citation, there will still be an incident number and you can request the dispatch log from when they ran your plate for a status check and to get get your operator's license number; there will be times posted in there. Gather everything up and fight it, or bend over and accept it.


Never mail-in fines, always pay in person or send certified mail if you must mail.
