I opened the account last week, and on Saturday wrote a check to shefearsnothing to cover the $1100 that has already been paid to her attorney. I have received documentation from her attorney to verify these charges.

Prior to today's hearing, I had also received a verbal quote from Jack's attorney for a flat fee. I am awaiting documentation from the attorney and will be sending a check for $1000 (the quoted amount) when it is received. I am unsure where things are headed next for Jack, but will update "his" thread as that info develops.

Just wanted to let everyone know what was going on with the funds in the meantime. If you have any questions or concerns in regards to this process, please let me know.

First off let me say this, I have the utmost trust in you Greg!! The only Idea I have is this what about opening an account just for the PFOA?? That way you have the statements and stuff like that to show if soem one gets concerned. Yet you can still keep your persoanl finances private.

I have no authority to do anything "for the PFOA". As noted, I have already opened a second bank account for these funds only, though the account is in my name. Basically, these fundraisers are a private endeavor by two individuals. They are not sponsored or endorsed by PAFOA, and leftover monies will be held for the next case, not put into the website.

Bravo to you Greg, I have been members of different boards (many now defunct) over the years, have seen the "fundraisers" and other things involving money get out of hand and watched things boil over with accusations, lines being drawn in the sand and character assassinations.

Bravo for being pro-active in this update and accounting....which reminds me, time for my sorry ass to pony up a few dollars myself.

You guys don't get told enough how much your efforts are appreciated. I thank you.

I will be voting just as I did last year, and do not anticipate any difficulties. I'll be sure to report when I get home.
