I very sorry for what happened to you. I would suggest that you contact Kim Stolfer, he gets numerous of similar types of horror stories from gun owners just like yours every week. Till it happens to them most people have no idea of how bad it can get to they trapped into on of these UFA violations nightmare scenarios, then its to late, and there is no one to call for help. In my opinion : There is a general bias against law abiding firearm owners in the court system that doesn’t seem to exist when criminals having firearms illegally in their possession. By reading you post, you are beginning to understand how it really works with the courts / legal system and UFA. Please contact Kim Stolfer he will give you the best advice on how to proceed and you will be surprised at all the help he offer for FREE. Several other PAFOA people that have contact Kim in the past with their UFA problems will probably tell you the same thing. You could also fill out a report on the Allegheny County Sportsmen League web site it goes to Kim as well. Quote:

Your lawyer should also look at the UFA carefully, because there's a small provision that requires police to return guns that come into their possession, and if the rightful owner has to file suit to get them back, the statute authorizes an award of attorney fees. That's a nice hammer that I've used with some departments to skip the Petition for Return of Property entirely.

That's just terrible... Did they ever give a reason why they confiscated your guns?Sue them! Make them lose their jobs and send a message that they can't mess with our rights! BTW you should buy some off the books rifles so if it ever happens again you won't be left unarmed.

I guess the thing that impresses me most is that you could sit on this story for this long and not let even a bit of it leak out!
I hope things improve, and that your girlfriend is well on the road to recovery. Keep us posted.
