Glen Beck said something else that was even more important and very disturbing though. He said a high-ranking source told him about a military unit being created and used on a full-time basis for "domestic terrorism" and "civil unrest." Posse Comitatus, anyone? And what exactly constitues domestic terrorism or civil unrest?

I am genuinely scared for my country, and of the government that has taken over my country. It's time to wake up.
I just read an article about this the other day ... I will try and find the link and post it.

I was listening too, and heard his implied message, even though he didn't come right out and say it. He talked about how desperate people will become when they can no longer buy food, and said that as people become more desperate, crime will become more rampant. I don't think I misinterpreted his innuendo by assuming what he was driving at was that the increase in large safe sales is because the people who are preparing for bad times by stocking up on food and water are also preparing themselves to safeguard it from those who aren't.

The irony of the "shovel" comment is that the time to 'bury them deep' is the very same time to dig them up.
Who says it's to bury guns with, rather than tyrants?

I think this might be what he was talking about.

Then, as the drill instructors used to say: "It's an 'entrenching tool', soldier... government issue, one each... not some jive-ass civilian 'shovel'."

Me too. And mine has a spare M8 bayonette attached to it. I think the M8 is the one that fits the M16/AR15 platforms.

He was talking about this:

http://www.armytimes.com/news/2008/0...eland_090708w/

This has NOTHING to do with who is going get elected (or not get elected) ... people are freaking scared their bank, their money and their way of life is going to disappear VERY soon and they could very well be right. Those that are prepared will make it through this those that had their heads in the sand all these years may not.

Anyone watch 60 minutes last night? Finally someone in the MSM is talking about how big this problem is and one of the main culprits of this mess, namely the credit default swap derivatives market I have been harping about for almost a year.

http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2008/...n4502454.shtml

folks this 'shadow market' is 4 to 5 times the size of the US economy and these idiots that created and played this market could very well destroy economic life as we know it ... What that 60 minutes story doesn't mention is that a HUGE part of those default swaps come due this week
