Also, I don't think anyone is telling you that it's ok for you to carry with an expired license. If you read the statute, again:

(12) A person who has a lawfully issued license to carry
a firearm pursuant to section 6109 (relating to licenses) and
that said license expired within six months prior to the date
of arrest and that the individual is otherwise eligible for
renewal of the license.

It says "license expired within six months prior to the date
of arrest", which means you'll probably be arrested for carrying with an expired license, but you can use the statute as a defense.

Good legal advice does not come from public internet forums for free.
No sweat man i was being sarcastic lol. It would seem that there is more than one way to iterp that.

And the area surrounding me is nice its farther out in East Stroudsburg that thats the Shit Hole. My area is nice, Oh yea and when i first read the Laws i found myself wondering about the wording.

2. if you do happen to get arrested, you go to your preliminary hearing, show your license, quote the above section of the UFA, and that should be it. yeah, it would be best to spend a couple hudred bucks on a lawyer to go with you.
You forgot to mention the part about spending the night in jail, having your car impounded, and the joys of waking up a loved one in the middle of the night to post bond so you can go home, in the morning, sans shoelaces!

That's great news, Paco. I'm up for renewal in February, and I'm looking forward to it. Is the hot babe still there taking pictures?

The part you gotta watch for is "arrest". That almost always means something bad!

maybe. i dunno the exact procedure.

but, in order to get bail, you have to have a hearing...at which point the case should be thrown out rather than continued and bail set.

at any rate, none of that stuff really is a big deal to me (and, yes, i have spent the night in jail for some BS that was immediately tossed in the morning, so i am not just talking out my butt in saying it is no big deal to me).

but, everyone has to make their own decisions.

however, ultimately, it is legally "OK" to carry on an expired LTCF for 6 months as long as you still qualify for getting an LTCF...and that is all i was really trying to say in the first place. (and, of course, again, the chances of being arrested are very, very slim unless you are an idiot.)

so, the options are:

1. don't carry and have a very remote chance of getting killed for lack of being able to defend yourself

2. carry and incur a very remote chance of having to spend a couple hundred bucks on attorney.

for me, that is a no-brainer (pick #2), but maybe not for everyone...
Silly rabbit, that you had to have that explained to you and Pvandunk didn't says volumes....

Pvandunk,

Dude, I lived on barnum for a while and I know exactly what you mean. The monkies taking over Dansbury is the main reason I got my LTCF and started carrying 24-7.
