Default Sucker the wife into helping...

So I spent about an hour rubbing boiled linseed oil into the stock of my Garand and afterwards, my hands felt very dry and tingling. I got a bunch of the wife's hand loation, rubbed it in thick and went to bed. In the morning she was touching my hands and commented on how soft they were. (she didn't know about the lotion) I told her that the linseed oil was amazing stuff but it was the heat from rubbing the gun stock that really got it to absorb into my hands and make them soft. I told her that it took and hour of rubbing but I could show her how to do it since I planned on doing it to the stock about 5-6 times. LOL She bit on it. I'm pretty sure she is going to do the next coat! If it works, you guys have to try it.

Did she at least offer you a dead rat and a string to swing it with? Maybe a broken window sash or at least some orange peel? Maybe something else that can't be posted *? Or did you accept her services for free (sucker)?

If this doesn't sound familiar, try reading Tom Sawyer, chapter 2. You might recognize the plot.

Nah man, I can't read that Tom Sawyer garbage. I was thinking more of "Wax On, Wax Off." She's in training for some of that stuff you mentioned, that I can't post about. There is at least 1 week a month where that will come in (oh no, don't say it)... "handy." bwahhahaha

If you cut the Linseed Oil with a little Turpentine, it will absorb into the wood easier. Got that from Gene at CMP.

I tired that line once when the wife's car needed the tranny fluid changed. Worked once. And she did auctually think her hands were softer afterwards. But the tranny fluid up to her armpits and all through her hair didn't sell her.
