Newbie here. Nice to see a well run website. I am currently in Iraq, and should be heading home soon for some R&R. This is my 7th deployment to the box so its starting to get old.

Newbie here too. I've recently started shooting again after a 10 year hiatus and can't believe all the great information on this site.

Hey - I have been on here for alittle while, but was inactive for a good bit, and never really looked around the site all that much...
My name is Mark, I am 27, and live in the York area and am an 82nd Airborne veteran. Nice site you got here, and hello to all!

I'm originally from England (so let me tell you about gun control) but since I moved here I've started getting into shooting and hunting. I can safely say I now have a gun collection more impressive than virtually anyone in the mother country!
I have a ton of questions, and spend hours on websites trying to figure out what I "need" to buy and what to avoid, but now I know I can just cut to the chase and post here. You guys are awesome. |

Also new to PFOA and the forum, although I have already posted in the last couple of days.
Great information. I find myself spending hours at a time reading through the different posts since I am a new gun owner as well as fairly new to PA. I live in the PA Wilds in Potter County. Looking for a good club and range nearer to my home, since I am currently driving about an hour to a range in Mansfield, PA. Any PA, or non-resident PA gun owner would be crazy not to be part of PFOA. You people seem to have it together. I am glad to part of it and have already recommended PFOA to friends and neighbors. Interesting how I have been able to even educate them on PA laws with regards to firearms and even OCing (and I am the new guy). Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the reply, lonehiker...
Ulysses is only 15 minutes, give or take, from Galeton. I know exactly the club off of 872. How is it with regards to membership and use of the range. I got their telephone number and was considering giving them a call this coming week. I know that in the PA Wilds many people shoot in their backyards. However, I live in the borough of Galeton where you cannot discharge a firearm.
