Checked it out doesnt look bad. I would organize the events page a little better. Just my opinion

I'll be blunt. I don't like it.

1. The menu on the left does not have anything to tie it into the rest of the site. If you carried the ledger lines across the page from the guitar, that might help. Maybe add notes to the lines.
2. I think the high contrast between the white menu and dark site doesn't look good. My eyes are drawn away from the main page and toward the menu.
3. The main picture with the guys photoshopped into the train picture needs redone. You've got black outline and shadows on the text in the picture but a thin white line around the guys in the picture. I would try to get rid of that line and give them some kind of highlight, perhaps blue to match the text color.
4. I would add a subtle background image or texture to the page. There are huge areas of just gray color. It's not very appealing to the eye.
5. What is the vertical red line on the menu for? There's no other red on the main page except for the guitar?
6. You need a better defined color scheme. You have a little red, a little blue in the picture, white and gray.

Overall the site is functional, but I don't find it appealing. I hope you don't get mad at me, I'm just giving my honest opinion.

You can do better. When the site opens I want to hear either their newest or their signature song. Here is a bands site I like.

Well I do this stuff for a living so I may be a little critical, please take it as constructive criticism.

1. The background .... sorry, just too 1990

2. Why are you not using more of the screen? While fixed width sites seem to be 'all the rage' right now I look at it as a waste of 'canvas' that makes you bunch up everything

and two things that are MAJOR pet peeves of mine:

1. links that are still active even though you are already on that page, it confuses people ... just annoys me to no ends

2. Music that automatically plays on the page and there is no way to shut it off! Nothing bothers me more (especially if I have my volume way up listening to CD) and all of a sudden I get blasted with some background music from a site. Given them a way to shut it off!

lastly its just seems a bit too "monochrome" for lack of a better term, too many dark colors ... that might work well for a heavy metal act but not a blues band (at least not in my mind)

Again just constructive criticism from someone that does this stuff for a living.
