Default Its tax season.. (firearm related)

I usually have extra withheld in Federal taxes to have nice winfall for the next tax return.

This year I figure I'll have about $1000 to spend on goodies. I want about 3 pieces.

1. another H&R Buffalo Classic for a project
2. another CCW piece duty/full sized
3. another BUG.

#1 takes about $350 right off the budget right away. ..leaving me about $650 for carry pieces, accessories and holsters.

With #2, I'm stuck with choosing between a hi-cap 1911(RIA/Armscor) or some techno piece(Glock, XD, etc) 45acp is a requirement, nothing less will do for me.

#3, I'm really open to anything from another derringer to a micro automatic. 32acp to 45/70(American Derringer - drools)

I gave my BUG to my best friend whom which just seen the "light", so I'm out of a deep concealment/New York Reload.

Suggestions?

I'm not against picking up a used piece to help keep the budget in order. Bear in mind the need to have funds too for ammo and holsters. ...plus enuff room for a chamber reamer for the new Buffalo Classic.

for the BUG, I love my Kel-Tec .32acp. My preferred carry weapon is my Glock 19c (the ported model). But when conditions keep me from carrying the glock, i feel really confident with my kel tec.

Instead of letting Uncle Sam hold your money interest free, next year have them take less and put the extra in a Money Market account. At the end you will have more in your pocket to spend.

Our of the choices given I think the XD-45 or Taurus 1911 would give you the most bang for the buck.

Very creative artwork, Delta!

I like tax season. It means gun money! (That, or paying off some bills). I'd rather spend it on guns.

Look on Gunbroker....I bought mine for $450, plus $20 shipping, plus $20 transfer. No sales tax remember.... So you will pay for the transfer but they even out. I talked to my dealer first, but his dealer price, wasn't even as good as the Gunbroker price.

XD45 on Gunbroker $475

I just checked the guy I bought from doesn't have anymore up. He might have been losing money at that price.

Are the Glocks Gen2? or Gen3?

If you really want a Glock, look at CDNN as they have refurbs at reallllly good prices. You'll want to D/L their latest brochure as they don't have guns prices on the site or at least I've never found them.

I wouldn't buy a gun off a dealer, mine only does transfers. You can get a much better price than any dealer will offer if you look around the internets.

I really can't find much of a difference between my XD and my friends Glocks as they are basically the same. I like the trigger pull though, it's a little more than a Glock but smoother. I do like the grip safety though, makes me feel a little more secure carrying a round chambered.
