The report I heard was this dispels the ridiculous myth created in Hollywood that if gunfire pierces a plane's skin there is decompression and the plane crashes. They system that pressurizes a plane can certainly overcome such a small hole just like the hole in one of my tires with nothing plugging it (like a nail) still healed pressure for 3 weeks. That little hole ain't nothin.
