My computer is on the fritz so I may not be around much over the next week.
As best I can tell the hard drive is fairly screwed up. It's on right now but there are bad blocks causing read/write errors left and right that I have been unable to resolve so far.
I will try to get on as much as possible but I may have limited access to the forum and my email.

I almost want to cry when a mac is out of commission. At least it's not:
 Best of luck, I had a hard drive failure at 3 am right in the middle of my student teaching. Only lost the lessons I was working on that night (spent the next few hours frantically re-writing everything)

My powerhouse computer has melted 4 gigs of ram within the past year.
Problem was fixed by not buying cheap ram.

Ahhh... just seen my share of cooked ram from bad PSU's and bad PSU's from being on bad power.
Tell everyone I work on a PC for, get a UPS. It will save you cash, and save you frustration.

I did a PC rebuild after a HD failure. I added a RAID 1 which gives me two mirrored drives, total data redundancy!

Laptop fixed, was a bad HDD and a bad piece of Ram. I'm back up and running but it's going to take a bit to get caught up on things.
A lot of stuff happened in the last week and I apologize to everyone for not being on top of it!
