I really don't mind the ads. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do to survive. Maybe more of us here on the forum should consider making a donation (even if it's just a small amount $5, $10, etc.) to help with expenses.

I clicked on an ad when I noticed them this morning, for some yellow pages type listing of firearms dealers in the Pittsburgh area, so when it tossed a pop-up at me and I shut it down I inadvertently shut down my browser. I'm just used to clicking links that people post and having them open in a new window. If it's not an option, I'll just need to remember to press the 'Shift' key when I'm trying to make the PAFOA money

Not knowing what your OS or browser are I'll tell you what I do, hover on the link RIGHT CLICK on the link, choose open in new window.

Bill

Another thing I forgot to mention is that you have the option to choose to simply buy a permanent link in daily intervals.

As of right now you can buy a link for $5/day. You don't pay based on clicks, you just pay a flat fee to have your link in place 24/7

those 'junk' ads are mostly filler for testing out on day1.

The junk ads will go away, and we will only display ads which originate from PAFOA.

What happens when the number of advertisers using this option exceed the number of available "spaces"?

When demand exceeds supply, price goes up.

The AdBrite system automates that process for us.

The ads don't seem to be a big deal and they don't really detract from the site. So all in all I can't say anything negative about them.
And once we actually start getting some in state business it will be alot better.

Just a note to whoever is running the ads, etc. When I come on line using FireFox (Mozilla) I do not see any ads other than the Advertise with PAFOA. If I come on through IE I saw 2, Snowflakes in Hell, and Lethal Training (or something like that) and the Advertise with PAFOA.
