No problem with the new rules for me either. In fact, if someone has asked a question and I see that 2 or 3 people have given them the needed info I don't even post. If I can add value to the answers given I may post. I typically do not post just to say I agree with the previous posters, what's the point? That said there are some posts (Lounge comes to mind) that beg for a response even if it is not value added (you know, like ragging on EM ) Only kidding EM .

I hope that the mere mention of demographic trends and cultural differences won't automatically amount to "implied racism". Most of the time these comments are not intended to be hateful, but many of them don't exactly fall in line with politically correct orthodoxy. Sometimes it's necessary to point out inconvienent truths for the purpose of figuring things out.

This kind of stuff is fine because it is not inherently hateful. There's a large difference between saying that statistically [group] is responsible for X% of crime and implying that all [group] are criminals.

Basically if it's true, you can back it up with facts, and if so it's not hateful, it's the way things are.

This is another one that I wouldn't get too riled up over either.

Some of these rules are less about making sure everyone thinks the the same politically correct thoughts and more about making sure that if someone really crosses the line we have a rule to point to.

The idea is that if a seller gets a question they should update their original post to include that information.

Yes, if you get points, you'll get a PM explaining why.

All of this time and effort just to prevent a handful of dipstick asshats from ruining our Forum.....

I feel bad for DanP/DougB and all the Mods having to undergo such an Herculean task as this just to "play nice".

My Mom and Dad expected their kids to behave respectfully to each other and to all others while in public...
Too bad some others weren't schooled in such a practice...
Dads' belt insured 100% compliance at our house!

My Dad used a razor strap. i guess there are some here that don't know what that is. It's a leather strap used to sharpen a straight razor. This one actually had two leather straps of differing texture.
