The cost of a PA pistol permit in McKean County is $25.00. The cost is the same for renewals.

CCW is renewed every 5 years at a cost of $5.00 per year.(AS of 3-2006)
The application is two sided page. Mine was approved after five days.
Reasons for carry is listed : Protection, hunting, collecting, target, I checked all.
On my permit, reason to carry is listed 'General Use'.

The whole process was very simple.

Cost is $25 ($19+$6) for both new and renewal.

If you apply and haven't heard from them within 2 weeks, give them a call or stop by the office. They are aware of problems with the approval postcards getting lost in the mail and don't mind checking status after 2 weeks has elapsed.
