Ok, I've closed this down because I feel it is very important that we get this out to this family ASAP so they can start rebuilding their Christmas.

Once again I must state how absolutely floored I am by the generosity of the members of this site. In less than 4 hours we raised over $800 for this family. That is simply amazing.

I have said it before and I will say it again: You guys are the best. Day in and day out I see the members of this forum bend over backwards to help friends, family, and complete strangers in their time of need. Whether it is something as simple as making sure a new shooter has the right information they need to stay safe and legal to helping a fellow gun owner with legal bills, you are all always right there ready to lend a helping hand.

This kind of stuff makes me realize how many good people there are in the world and how I'm grateful I was able to get so many of them under the roof of the PAFOA.

Was the perpetrator apprehended? I'd hate to think about this happening to another family.

Dan - It good to see you just helping these people, not just telling them they should have had a gun. Although thats a good thing to bring up at a later date.

I don't know you personally but I think you're a good guy, props to you.

Between this and the Gnbrotz thing, it just goes to show what a great community this is. I just got home so just saw this thread now but I think it is a fantasic thing that we were able to raise money to help out this woman in a very traumatic time.

So I hope everyone has a FANTASTIC CHRISTMAS and all the good boys and girls get AR's under the tree with PAFOA lowers Santa goes into some bad neighborhoods so I'm sure he could use an AR for himself as well.

Just got to this thread and am sorry I am too late to help.

If anything further develops that needs a couple bucks, post it up.

Danp, nice thing to do for anyone that suffers this type of incident.

I too am sorry I missed the chance to participate. I understand the reasoning behind the short window of opportunity, and know firsthand how responsive the folks here are.

Please let us know if there's a further opportunity to help in this situation.
