Bob Merski is a good guy. Pro gun. If you don't have a criminal record, you should have no problem getting a CCW.

yep, Bob Merski and Sandy Amendola are excellent people. Sgt. Amendola was quite fun to talk to, and approved my CCW in a couple hours. I hope the local sheriff's office isn't downsized. I hear alot of talk about eliminating the Sheriff's dept lately. Hopefully it's just talk.

New Firearm Division Website
It looks like the Erie County Sheriff's office has updated their website. The Erie County Sheriff's Firearm Division now has their own page with firearm information and operating hours. There's also a new CCW permit, which has a few changes.

If your lucky it will take 2 weeks. Erie county is huge and there are many apps to be considered. Be patient, eventually you'll get it if you pass PICS. Good Luck!
