The flier needs to be updated with West Virginia reciprocity.

Very cool. This is exactly what I've been wanting to hand out around town.

Thank you. A BIG +1!

I'd like to see some mention about how it is legal to carry inside of a post office.

http://www4.law.cornell.edu/uscode/h...0----000-.html

This is what is posted on the poster on the wall in the Post Office:

(a) Except as provided in subsection (d), whoever knowingly possesses or causes to be present a firearm or other dangerous weapon in a Federal facility (other than a Federal court facility), or attempts to do so, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than 1 year, or both.

Here is subsection d which is not on the poster:

(d) Subsection (a) shall not apply to—

(3) the lawful carrying of firearms or other dangerous weapons in a Federal facility incident to hunting or other lawful purposes.

Your local post office posts a partial extract of 18 USC 930 as it applies to the carrying of firearms in a federal building.

But, based on a discussion on same from Ohioans for Concealed Carry, 18 USC may not even apply to post offices, but rather 39 CFR 232.1 (a regulation, not a law).

Since the corrupt courts of the Imperial Federal Government tend to apply Regulations (both created and enforced soley by the Executive Branch) against citizens (even though the Constitution states that only Congress may pass laws), and since 39 CFR 232.1 prohibits carrying of firearms, the point of whether we may or may not carry is most likely moot.

What makes a post office a federal building?

Just making a question here as I know of two local post offices that rent space in a building to run the post office out of. One has a local club that I am a member of. So if I patron that post office, I am on the property of the club, as they are the owners. So the club would have more say as to if they wanted me to carry there, right?

The club space is okay, the post office space is not.

They are renting the space, which makes them temporary "owners" of the space. Their rules apply.

A landlord may own an apartment building, but that doesn't mean the landlord can freely access the tenants' apartments. It's their space, and their rules apply.

My buddy has been handing these things out like hotcakes. He put 5 of them on a message board at a bar, and they were all gone the next day. I've given out a few myself to some folks that were misinformed about various gun laws. Thanks again!

I dont believe the lawful purpose has been proven in court, same with schools.. Seems to be kind of a grey area, and I wouldnt wanna be the one to test the system..

i'd look into that more if i where you
