i have an uncle mikes rig it is mostly nylon and has a plastic piece on the strong side that you can get a mag holder for. i weigh 290 and there is a lot more adjustment left on it. only thing i find is it is a little awkward to get a good grip on the gun before drawing it. i'm using a glock 19 btw.

I have the same one, and can't wait to buy a new rig when I have the spare cash.

Check out www.holsterusa.com. That's where I bought a Pro-Tech shoulder holster for my Ruger SR9. It seems like it has alot of adjustment, it's very comfortable, ambidextrous design (I'm left handed), room for 2 magazines on opposite side and its available in vertical or horizontal.

I wouldn't buy anything without being able to try it on, or with a guarantee of being able to return it. Of course, that's just me. I am a big guy too. I wear a size 60 jacket for my chest and shoulders. I tried on a shoulder rig at Advanced Arms up in Pittston when we had the OC dinner up there last winter, and provided a lot of entertainment for everyone there. I got it on one arm, and that was about it.
I have found that the most comfortable way to carry is a OWB holster, OC most of the time, but CC very easily with a loose button down camp style shirt. With colder weather coming, a vest or jacket should help with cover.

Thanks for the input, I think I'm going to check out the Uncle Mike shoulder rig. They said that if it doesn't fit I can return it.

![]() I have been using a Desantis for about 10 years. Once in a while I wore it on a detail. Most of the time it is hanging on the bed holding my G23 and spare mag. Easy to throw on during the night.
