Default York Fair Grandstand Carry Question

I am taking the wife to see Daughtry on Sept 13th. I have been there before but I do not remember if they do pat downs or anything like that. Anyone with info pertaining to concealed carry in the grandstand? Thanks.

I could be wrong but if I remember correctly, they have "No Weapon" signs on the entry gate to the grandstands. I never been patted down going in, but I usually have a camera and a media pass around my neck so they don't bother with me.
Main thing to remember is that the York Fairgrounds is private property so, as stated in other posts before, they set the rules on weapons on the property. I always carry concealed when at the fair so no one knows differently.

Entry to the grandstand patrons are patted down. If made aware of CC individual, you will be asked to leave as there are no weapons permitted on Fairground property....so asking you to leave it in your car is not an option.
York Fair Police is an actual police department....not rent-a-cops.

He is correct, however they don't pat down at every concert just the ones they expect problems, and I would guess Daughtry would be one they would be patting down for.

Policy is for pat downs at every music venue at the grandstand this year. No exceptions.

I stand corrected, it's been about 6 years since I worked it, but back then it was only certain concerts.

Sounds like that would be a time for a "Smart Carry" holster

Then, if they DID find it, you could just say "Oh, that's just my "gun"

No sweat, I didn't take offense to it, it just reminded me that it's been a couple years since I worked it. Back then we only did it for certain concerts.
