things I forgot in the intial report - still getting my thoughts collected - should have had a recorder.....

I offered to provide the name & number of an ADA in Philly to confirm that what I was doing was legal - the Sgt declined.

Sgt told me that the Septa platforms were their jurisdiction and that I can't carry here. I said so then I jsut need to go to Suburban Station and not get off here.

Sgt tole me that conductor told him that no firearms were allowed on trains - I asked for a citation - he told me that Septa can make their own rules.

The Sgt told me that communities can have laws that prohibit openly carried forearms. I told him about state preemption - both of these were before he said that I seemed to know more about his job than him.

Sgt told me that I can't carry on Amtrak - I said that I knew and that was one reason I don't ride Amtrak.

My 2 bags were not searched.

I thanked the officers for doing their job and told them to be safe before I want down the stairs and up to the other platform for my train.

I beleive SEPTA falls under the jurisdiction of SEPTA TRANSIT Police. I think that the AMTRAK guards just happened to be the ones to respond. SEPTA uses tracks that are owned by AMTRAK though. Just like NJ TRANSIT uses AMTRAK space.

AMTRAKS website does state that ALL riders will be treated under the laws of Washington D.C. for which OC or CC is not allowed.

Again I think one is O.K. on SEPTA.

I think we really need to put this OC with ANY valid LTCF to bed in Philly once and for ALL. I think we need to have a large OC event to educate these less informed officers. With enough attendees we should make the news. We should have a lawyer present also.

There is a federal law that states that carrying on amtrak is illegal, or rather there is a law about carrying on Amtrak. I think you must notify the conductor etc..

I know of no law that would prevent someone from carrying on SEPTA.

And our LTCF is perfectly legal in philly. This seems to be the constant cry of the Philly PD...

I'll go too! Of course, I'll have to have a set of handcuff keys handy beforehand because I'm sure the husband will resort to any means necessary to keep me home from that one.
