Short, sweet and to the point. Well said. We shouldn't be equated with "fringe" characters or "mavericks" just because we choose to exercise a God-given, constitutionally protected right.

I don't know if this has been asked yet...
I know there is a stock letter floating around that can be printed and sent to local PDs regarding all the carry laws. Open and concealed, But is there someone (who writes better than I) that can take that letter and adapt it based off the issues that arose at the OCB so it can send out to our local departments? Kinda a here are some recent events and if you don't wanna see yourself in the same shit storm, learn some of these laws.

This is kinda like stating the obvious but so far, we have been concentrating on the details of 'The Incident at Dickson City'.
The several violations that occurred by the police/government are perfect examples of why gun control, even 'reasonable' gun control should be fervently defeated. This incident embarrassed law abiding citizens and inconvenienced them unlawfully etc. The police will also be embarrassed soon if not already. The PSP 'database' was abused and treated like a registry thus further violating PAPatriot and well, all citizens. Other than exposing a marginal and possibly even corrupted police force; the end result is clear... NO CRIMINALS WERE PROCESSED NOR CAUGHT NOR SUBVERTED FROM THEIR CRIMINAL LIFESTYLE. It only gave the police what they thought was permission to skirt the constitution and exert their imaginary police powers. I wouldn't expect this much intrusion on law abiding citizens during a martial law declaration. Gun control, even 'reasonable' measures, give us a police state where the actual criminals run rampant, and the police seek out the easy prey who are called law abiding citizens. I believe there is a role and an important one for LE but this points to the worst case scenario of what Pa. could become. |

Well....the article was published for the public. The words of the article were not favorable for firearms and the 2a. The pic was used as a tool to further distort the public's perception of 2a and OC. But........just like any political satirist artist’s work…..you may not agree with the message, but it is still funny. I betcha even George Bush chuckles at the way he is often portrayed. True – it is bad for our cause, and I don’t like the message……but I’m not the only one who chuckled at that pic.

Hey Emptymag!
Take 'er easy my friend. I seem to remember Yankee Doodle Dandy was 'spose to be an insult, too! Must have ticked off the Brits when we took ownership of it! I would be honored to sit and dine with the likes of The Duke and Mr. Eastwood. (I am undecided about Rambo, though!) |

The picture does show that even though his fellow patrons are armed he isn't leaving the line or the restaurant. It appears as more of an oddity to him then something to fear.

I think I would be more concerned with Clint's ashes falling in my food, then with the weapons....

I'm missing the point on the cartoon. Is the artist saying he would be ashamed to eat with a Cop, an American Hero and a Vet?
Kind of ironic that those three people depicted in the toon are all good guys. Ya think they could have used Manson, Hitler and Rendell or something. ![]() |
