Just a bump up. I am really wanting to make this. I potentially have inlaws coming to visit right around that date, and am not sure hanging out with my "gun" friends is how they are going to want to spend the evening, but we shall see....

LOL, my "gun" friends, is what the wife calls you guys, lol. The inlaws are coming from the DR and barely speak english. Might not be the most comfortable evening for them. But, hell they're adults, I might just leave'em home.......

You think that's bad....
I told my wife about this and said we're going...keep in mind that she has some guns of her own and is a fairly good shot...anyway....she is uneasy about bringing our 7 year old...I asked why....get this.... "What if someone calls the cops?" "Yeah...and?" "What if they show up and there's a gun fight?" I laughed....then I realized she was serious...."What? A gun fight? They're going to bust into the OCB and start shooting at us because we're LEGALLY carrying guns...you do know the law allows us to do this, don't you?" "Well...that's what you've said...but how do you know there won't be shooting?" Anyway, it went on like that for a bit and I convinced her we're bringing my daughter and there will be no gun battles....whew....unreal. |

I had a good laugh too until I thought about how silly my wife acts about what she calls "my obsession with guns". I was a little surprised that she agreed to go to the dinner without much coaxing. Maybe being around all of us open carrying will ease her up a bit about guns. Who knows maybe she will catch the bug and want to start going to the range with me. LOL Yeah, right.

Me: I think next week I'm going to get my License to Carry Wife: Why do you need it? Me: First because I want to be able to defend my/your/our lives, and second because I have the right to. Wife: Do you honestly think you'll ever use it? Me: I hope like hell that I never have to, but it's better to be prepared. Wife: I still don't see the need, but if it makes you feel safer... She doesn't however have a problem going out with me and busting clays or shooting her davey crickett all day. Women are complex creatures.. haha. |
