One can only imagine the scene, however, if some incident occurs and the same police, who are now excoriated by the activists, arrive to find a dozen people with weapons drawn.

Again, more fear-mongering from those who think that guns are a roadblock to an idyllic world. I wish these same people could realize that while we should always strive to make the world an ideal place to live, that level of perfection is never actually attained. Part of this flawed assumption of attainable perfection is that police always do the right thing, and never abuse their power. Without oversight from the people, agents of the government will ALWAYS be tempted to take advantage of the position in which they've been placed. It's human nature, nothing more, nothing less.

Yeah it is quite amazing that some peoples views on this subject is a "Wild west" shoot em up movie they watched with their grandfather. It couldn't be farther from the truth.

Some would say that writing some of the hateful, unfactual and fear-mongering articles about this could be labeled as "flaunting" their right to the 1st Amemdment. In fact some of the articles scare me, so should I call the police and report it?

In my opinion, (and I think its been said here before), with regards to Contitutionally protected rights, there is no such thing as flaunting.

I agree, if Mr Murphy had been so afraid of you guys and of gun owners then why did he post the response that he did in the Scranton Times forum and also sign his name to it with his home city?

He simply is thrilled to take credit for causing disruption to gun owners.
