I imagine that the aggrieved parties do not share the same sense of closure, and intend to file formal complaints?
From what I read, he was never charged, though he was cuffed and put in the cruiser. They did take his BUG however.

The case is most certainly not closed, but for obvious reasons not all details are publicly available.

I would imagine things might settle down for a little bit after tonight while the legal system does it's work.

Top of the line place.
I met everyone after the meeting and went to Charlie Brown's.
I'll echo the sentiment, great place.

Lets compare.
On Friday I attempted to have a nice dinner with my family and friends at Old Country Barfett. In Dickson City... I got arrested

Tonight I had good food at Charlie Brown's in Scranton.... And I got free cake!

I sincerely hope that no one involved in this seeks or accepts 'money' damages. The only ones who pay money damages are the taxpayers...

I would bet that a clever attorney can come up with a better resolution than a cash settlement.

Cash has lost its value, particularly where the government is concerned. If they have to cover a big 'settlement' they just raise taxes to pay for it, or maybe take out a loan.

Pa Patriot, if you can resolve this, and take this above and beyond cash, I will be your servant for a day!

I want to thank everyone that made it out tonight, particularly the speakers, all of which did a bang up job by the reports I received Also everyone else not able to be present that continue to support this effort.

Money damages coming out of the taxpayers pockets might be whats needed to fix the problem. Regardless of what the people in Dickson City think of the 2A and OC, if their property taxes and local income tax have to be raised to pay off multiple lawsuits (again) they might just decide its time to elect a council and hire a police force that knows AND obeys the law so they don't end up being sued out of their city.

I will agree that more than just cash needs to be accepted. Increased training for officers on the laws is a must, especially firearms laws and rights.

Id've been there but tonight was the first night of the NRA Basic Pistol course I'm taking. Stupic Dick City, my van would have made us eco-friendly instead of having 6 empty seats as i drove to class.
