biggd, welcome to the forum. This particular subject has been addressed on this site before. i'm not sure if a search will bring it up or not. The general answer to your issue is that businesses have the right to determine what goes on about their property. That right to make decisions about what guidelines they set for their employees an customers trumps your right to carry a firearm. It sucks, but they look at it as a condition of employment which you have to agree to in order to work there and if policy isn't acceptable to you, you have the right to seek employment elsewhere. Perhaps speaking to the owner (if it is a smaller establishment) could get them to change their policy if you showed that you are a responsible gun owner and would like to be able to defend yourself if need be. You will never know if you don't ask. Downside is if they know you carry, you may be watched more closely and/ or let go because of your views. You could carry anyway and conceal very well but this is a decision only you can make and you would pay the price by losing your job if you are found carrying. Good luck and again Welcome. 27hand |

We're not allowed to carry where I work at either even though it's not in the best neighborhood. Go figure.

we're allowed to keep them in the car while we're in the office building. Better than leaving it at home.
