KpaxFAQ is on a distinguished road
Default Re: Carry at a place that serves liquor

I know the facts so don't flame me but I carry out wherever I go no matter what. I trust myself and would rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6. I've been drunk and carrying at the bar and personally I forget it's even in my smartcarry except when I use the restroom. Don't freak out when I say drunk, it's not like I'm falling over, its more like I'm not legal to drive but my senses are still fine. I had one incident when an ignorant individual got in my face for no reason what so ever and I calmly swallowed my pride and diffused the situation quickly. So, I don't see the problem with a couple beers while you're carrying. Getting drunk to the point you can't handle yourself yes...but to each their own you gotta know yourself. People all react differently when they are under the influence.

I've said it before. you have to know what kind of person you are when you drink. If your a violent, irrational drunk...well, you probably shouldn't drink then.

The only people who have been loosing their permits were people who volunteered the information that they were carrying a weapon to a law enforcement officer.

yes but getting pulled over for speeding and asked if you have a weapon and tell them you have one and then have your LTCF pulled, that has nothing to do with your LTCF. when you have your LTCF you have to lay low anymore theres to many anti gun people out there that are looking for anyway to make guns look bad.

Only you (referring to anyone in general) know "your" limits, whether it be alcohol, frustration tolerance, anger management skills, etc. You than have the responsibility to act accordingly to your own individual limits. You alone make your choices, you alone will live with them. A clear head, and a lot of common sense usually prevails. I don't know if alcohol will help you with your decisions, but it may help the law with theirs....

The above is my opinion only....

As i said, There's no reason to volunteer that information to the police, even if armed.

I wouldn't volunteer it but i'm not gonna lie if asked, and your I have nothing illegal when they ask is just going to have the next question be do you have any legal weapons.

with that said I dont think theres a law against lying to police in PA, so each his own I guess?

change the subject to the following
-why he pulled you over
-if you're free to go

you don't have to play into their fishing expedition.
