Default IDPA in central PA

Hello all!
I just wanted to give everyone in and around central PA a heads up that our IDPA matches have started for the year at Hollidaysburg Sportsmen's Club.

We shoot the 3rd sat of each month. There will usually be about 5 stages, with approximately 100-125 rounds.

more info can be found here:

We will also be having a rifle/carbine side match this weekend.

Shooters will be classified based on what guns show up, so you'll be shooting against similar set ups. This is primarily geared to a military style rifle, but if you show up with a cowboy rifle or something else, you can shoot it too.

You'll need a rifle, one mag that holds at least ten rounds and one mag that holds at least twenty. If you're running a 15 round/mag gun (like an M1 carbine), you'll need three. If you're running stripper or en bloc clips (SKS or Garand), bring enough to go 40 rounds.

We will be using my rifle rated steel, so we have some ammo restrictions. Nothing more powerful than a 30-06, no magnum rifle rounds, no armor piercing ammo (M855/SS109 is good to go), no rimfire guns (won't activate some of the targets.

Round count will be around 30.

If you want to shoot but don't have a gun, get two boxes of .223 (Wolf is fine) and I'll let you run mine. You'll know me because I'll be the one shooting poorly.

Took some video with the camera today at the shoot. If anyone wants to see it just send me a PM and we can exchange e-mail addresses. I have to give Dan some credit for coming up with some pretty wild stuff. It was fun. I'll be back next month.
