We have some shooters that will pick it up and we have people that come out to the club just to pick up brass. With the price of scrap metal these days they make a killing.

Thanks!

That's great info for a penny pinching reloader. I am most definatly interest the shoots now! Already got ammo ready. Just need to get clearance and I can show up! If I can I plan on joining the club. That sounds like the way to go!! Thanks for the updates guys!

By the way Corey could I just join the day of the shoot or should I do tha before hand?

I would consider joining. With the membership to the club, you get two free shoots, and $5 off shoots, so the membership basically pays for itself.

The club membership has changed slightly since last year. This year you only get one $10 credit for a club activity.

The price for membership is $50 for an adult and $75 for a family.

You can print an application here:
http://www.hollidaysburgsportsmenscl...embership.html

As a club member you do pay a reduced rate for all our shoots.

You can join the same days as the shoots.

I hope this answers any questions.

Thanks!
Corey

Sure does, thanks for the help Corey. I just hope I can make it to the March 15 'New Shooter Clinic'!

I just realized that I won't be able to make it to the new shooter clinic on the 15th because I'll still be on vacation for Spring Break.

Will there be any other new shooter clinics??

If you don't or can't make it. Don't panic. I didn't make it to the first IDPA beginners class the first year I shot either. But these guys will take you under thier wing and really make sure you do just fine. So, if you can't make it, just show up and we will get you well on your way.

We only run one new shooter class a year. Once the shooting season gets underway the weekends are pretty hectic.

Like Randy said you can start anytime throughout the year.

Come early to a match and we will check you out on the safety procedures of the club and IDPA. We get a lot of new shooters during the course of the year and we do everything we can to make sure you have a safe and enjoyable time.

Thanks!
Corey

I figure I have everything I would need to shoot:

- hearing protection
- eye protection
- gun
- holster
- 4 mags

but I don't have a mag holder. Should I get one or can you just put them in the ole pocket? Also, my mags hold 8 rounds is 4 of them enough?

You should get a mag pouch.

4 mags should be plenty. IDPA stages can have up to 18 shots required, so with 32 rounds you should be good to go.

What kind of gun do you have? Some version of a 1911?

I shot one match last year and did not attend a new shooters clinic. While I must express that safety is number one. Everyone, including the the guys I shot with in my group, were wonderful. Fun, knowledgable, helpful and safe.

"I CAN'T WAIT" The anticapation is just building!!!!
