Default French Creek Park/SGL 43 Deer Hunting?

I'm getting back into deer hunting after years away from it. Is there decent deer hunting to be had at French Creek park/State Game Land 43? I'd like to get out and do some scouting. Any good areas to look for?

From what we saw this past year, our first hunting since the boy was born, no. Plenty of good hunting for deer hunters, though! They are all over the place. We saw some deer taken out, but not many.

Heck, French Creek even sucked for squirrel hunting, and we didn't even see a bunny all year.

Blue Marsh Lake seems awfully nice. Best bet is to make friends with some farmers and hunt private land. Everybody I know around here who hunted private land had success.

We are hoping to make friends with someone over the summer, maybe trade some groundhog population reduction services for deer hunting next year. We actually don't know many folks here, being transplants.
