I just happen to have a glock 17 and 19 as well as sig p226 that your more than welcome to try, just bring the ammo. Well if you can plan it right around Mity2 and I (since we both work night shift) I'm sure we can get all of these guns you are looking at together all in the same place at once and find the right gun for you. I'll keep an eye on the thread or send a PM.

Cheers,
josh

thanks so much for the offer but XD from this forum beat you to it. I shot his XD9 and really liked it. Unfortunately I will have to wait until I find a job for this semester before I purchase anything ( it somehow slipped my mind that I put so much on my credit card this month). I'll let you know when I finally get something of my own and hopefully we can run through some rounds soon.

Did you pick up that XD yet, I would strongly recommend the sub compact. Only because it will give you more options in the future should you decide to start cc/oc.

Just my 0.02, good luck with whatever you decide.

I'm not totally back to the drawing board but far from decided again. I like the xd but I love my friends sig. Since Im probably not going to find a CPO sig set up like I'd like, I'm now lookking fot a used one that I can sent to sig and have th do a once over on. But then I keep reading that people prefer a double action only(like the xd) because it provides more consistantcy without having to draw the hammer back one the first shot. I know some of this is a personnal preference thing but I'd like to here what you guys have to say about it.

I have no problem with the DA/SA trigger in my sigs (220 and 226). I wouldn't want to put a DAO trigger in there at all, it removes so much of the versitility of the the trigger. Just pratice alot and shoot the shit out of the gun, it's the only way you will become comfortable with it reguardless if its a DA/SA or DAO trigger in it.

i found a guy on sigforum that refinishes sigs. he also does trigger jobs on all his guns and gives you the option of finishes on the controls. he seems to have fair prices so i'm getting in contact with him currently. we'll see how that works out. ill keep you guys posted
