Exclamation PSU students/staff: Empty Holster Protest

Calling all PSU students/staff/faculty:

Concealedcampus.org is organizing an "Empty Holster Protest" in response to rules at universities like ours that prevent concealed weapon permit-holders from carrying on campus. The protest will run during the week of Oct. 22-26. Basically all you need to do is find a holster and wear it all week, and of course be ready to answer questions and engage in conversations about gun rights. An obvious connection is that only a person with a LTC could have stopped the VT shootings, but there are other angles as well--there have been serious crimes committed in the area that could have been prevented by someone with a weapon. See here, for one news story from last year; there are many other examples.

If you're not going to be on the PSU campus that week but would like to help, consider loaning/donating an old or extra holster to a student who doesn't have one but who would like to participate.

Either way, post here or send me a PM if you'd like to participate.

Thanks everyone!

My school days are over too, but if someone wants to join the protest but does have a holster I can lend one or two. Just let me know.

I agree with the columnist's and nugent's point of view 100%. Maybe it will take a couple of politicians' sons and daughters helplessly mass murdered in events like these for the message to get across, maybe then will they realize they are crippling the honest and hardworking people, and allowing criminals to laugh and pull the trigger as they please, without retaliation.

They say a newborn kitten usually opens its eyes within 7-10 days, when will our government open theirs?
